Coaching Classes
MSC will be sponsoring U6/U8 youth module coaching classes on Tuesday and Thursday, 17 and 19 August at 6pm at Monroeville Community Park (West). Preregistration is required and must be done on the PA West referee site. All in-house coaches must have completed the youth coaching class by the end of the calendar year.
There will be an E certificate class at Turner Valley on 20-22 August. Registration is as for the U6/U8 class above. MSC has not yet adopted a policy requiring the E certificate, but it is likely we will do so before the beginning of the fall session.
MSC 2010-2011 Kickoff Meeting
The annual MSC kickoff meeting will be held at 7pm on Wednesday, 11 August at the Penn Monroe. All head and assistant coaches are encouraged to attend.
Pittsburgh Riverhounds Camp
The Pittsburgh Riverhounds will be holding a community soccer camp, 2-5 August at Monroeville Community Park (West). For times and registration information please visit the Riverhounds camp information page.
Monroeville Soccer Club Yearbook
MSC will be moving forward with plans for a club yearbook to be offered after the upcoming fall season. We are looking to put a small committee of people togther to get it rolling. Anyone who would like to volunteer time in the creation of this yearbook please contact Tony Pokusa, mail AT ajpcadd DOT com. We are looking for people who are willing to help gather photos, sell advertisements, or collect player personal messages. We may also have opportunities for scanning, printing and binding. Once I have a group of volunteers I will contact you all to set up a kick-off meeting! This could be a great first step to anyone who would like to help the club but isn't quite sure how. Monroeville Soccer Club FREE Wednesday Summer Clinics
When Each Wednesday, July 7 thru August 11 Where Monroeville Community Park
Fields 11 and 12Time 6:00 PM to approximately 7:30 PM Cost FREE to all current registered MSC players For whom U6 – U12 players (2010 – 2011 season) These clinics are designed to improve player’s foot skills through the use of drills and games. Different skills will be introduced each week. Players can attend any clinic; you do not have to attend all of them.
Remember that all players should come dressed to play soccer…shin guards, ball, water bottle, spikes or tennis shoes.

Annual Membership Meeting
MSC will hold its annual membership meeting at 7pm on Tuesday, the 8th of June at Cross Roads Presbyterian Church. All adult members of the club are invited to attend. Members of the board of directors will be elected.2010-2011 Registration
On-site registration for the 2010-2011 season has ended. In order to register, please download a registration form and mail it to the address on the form, or, to receive a paper copy of the form, please contact the MSC registrar.
Cost is $80.00 for in-house play; $110.00 for travel. In order to be eligible, children must have reached their fourth birthday on or before the 31st of July of this year.
Late registration fees will be assessed for returning registrations received after the 30th of June. Fall travel teams will be formed on the basis of registrations received by that date; late registrants will be used to fill available openings.

Training Opportunities
Please remember that we post training opportunites on the web site. These are not all sanctioned by MSC, but are provided as a service. Among these are the Pittsburgh Riverhounds summer camps, one of which is in Monroeville in early August.

Risk Management Clearances
The PA West risk management form is here. Please select check as the payment option but do not pay. Send your confirmation number to Rand Warsaw, MSC risk coordinator. All coaches, assistant coaches and travel team managers must be cleared.

Risk Management
MSC has adopted a new Risk Management Policy. Parents and guardians should familiarize themselves with it.
PA West parental consent forms are available in either Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format. These must be completed for all U9 players who are playing travel soccer and for all U10 players who are playing on a U11 or U12 team.
