  COACHING LICENSURE AND REIMBURSMENT POLICY

Effective Fall 2004 Season and going forward, the MSC Board seeks to encourage its volunteer coaches and personnel to attend appropriate youth sports licensing.

Whereas certain PAWest License course fees have been reimbursed upon successful completion of the course for active MSC Coaches, the Board further agrees to provide a one-time FREE child in-house annual registration (presently valued up to $60) per year for MSC coaches who

1) successfully complete the D, E or Y-License PAWest course for the age group appropriate for the license and, 2) coach with MSC in that age group for that year. This one-time benefit is intended to attract new coaches and to encourage existing coaches to receive training available to them through US Youth Soccer.

Y-Licensing is now Required of all U6 Micro Coaches, and is intended to broaden all Club Coaches’ understanding of safety and youth athletic development. Should a Coach successfully complete the Y-License within that first fall session, he/she would be eligible not only to have the course costs covered, but also to have one free child annual registration in that age group.

Other coaches who now take a Y-License or the more advanced D and E-License courses may receive this one-time benefit to offset the costs of one child’s registration in the age group appropriate to the license.

Coaches seeking reimbursement for any other PAWest or YouthSoccer coaching course not mentioned above must gain the Board’s written approval for such reimbursement prior to incurring the course expense. The Board encourages all volunteers to attend relevant available training for the benefit of our Club, but requires pre-approval for reimbursable expenses.
